WHAT WE’RE ABOUT

Rethink Playtime is a non-profit organization which aims to encourage free play for all. This organization was inspired from a little boy’s desire to play with “girly” toys. Matthew, who is 6 years old, loves the sparkles, glitters, pinks and purples which are associated with “girly” toys. However, his family, especially his grandparents, aunts, and uncles are hesitant in allowing him to play with such toys. 

From preliminary research that was found, there are parents and family members who do not encourage little boys to play with “girly” toys. But, we believe what is forgotten is that playing with everything can lead to so many more opportunities. It is through this organization that we hope to change little boys’ parents’ minds to allow free play, creating a much more inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy playtime and learn all at the same time.
